ChatGMAT Capture privacy policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

ChatGMAT Capture is a Chrome extension. It saves the review pages of your own GMAT™ Official Practice Exam sittings and uploads them to ChatGMAT, so we can analyse them for you and improve ChatGMAT's question data.

What we collect

• Your Google account's name and email address, when you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.
• Your phone number, only if you choose to give it.
• The sittings you choose to capture: the score report and the review screens of an official practice exam you have taken. That includes the questions as shown, your answers, your timings, and the item details the review pages carry.

The extension only reads pages on www.starttest.com, and only when you press Capture. It does not read other sites, your browsing history, or your starttest.com password. The candidate name printed on the score report is removed from the capture before it is uploaded.

How we use it

• To analyse your sittings and show you how you did (coming soon).
• To improve ChatGMAT's question data, for example how hard each question is.
• To contact you about ChatGMAT, if you gave a phone number or agreed to be contacted.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

• Captures: Cloudflare R2 object storage.
• Your account record: a Postgres database hosted by Supabase in Mumbai, India.
• The service that receives uploads runs on Vercel.

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Deleting your data

Open the extension's Account page.

• Remove one upload: the sitting is unlinked from your account immediately.
• Delete your account: your name, email address, phone number and Google account link are removed immediately, and every sitting is unlinked.

Unlinked sittings stay with ChatGMAT with nothing that identifies you (the name on the score report was already removed before upload), and we keep using them to improve our question data.
